Masked group checking car doors in Bristol Township, gunfire erupts

Posted

A quiet morning in a Bristol Township neighborhood was rocked by gunfire and bullets hitting a car parked in a driveway.

At 4:16 a.m., Bucks County Police answered a call of gunfire on Logan Avenue in Croydon, Pa.

Then, two minutes later, police got a call about gunfire three miles away on Colonial Drive. That’s where a resident reported his security system alerted him of someone checking his car doors twice in his driveway.

The resident told police he yelled at the person and they ran off. He also reported, after the interaction, he heard gunshots and saw that his car had been struck by bullets.

The resident’s security footage showed a person holding what appeared to be a handgun while checking the car’s door handle.

Additional security footage showed three separate vehicles – a black 2026 Dodge Ram Pick-up, a 2025 Gray Honda Oddessy, and an unknown model of a black sedan – driving slowly in the area. Several people exited their vehicles occasionally to check random car doors, and they were wearing masks and gloves to conceal their identities.

Police say the security footage also showed the vehicles stopping while the people got out and talked to each other before someone in one of the vehicles fired multiple gunshots down the street, with some rounds hitting the ground ahead of them.

According to police, no injuries were reported, however two vehicles and two residential garages were damaged from gunfire.

Police identified that the Dodge Ram pick-up truck and the Honda Odessey involved in the incident had been stolen from Bristol Township prior to the incident.

Anyone who has information about this incident is encouraged to contact Bristol Township Police Department.
